A National Institute of Engineering is one of a premier Engineering institutes of a southern state of Karnataka, & the 2nd oldest in the state. NIE, when these are popularly known, offers Engineering courses within the wide range of engineering fields. Based around 1946, during the pre july 4, it has a rich following tradition of churning out quality engineers altogether conventional engineering fields.

Location

A National Institute of Engineering is placed touching a Ashokapuram vicinity, & is placed on the Manandavadi Road next to the Karnataka Silk Factory. A campus consists of 2 sections: the Old Building, which houses the Administrative agents, Library & the Gymnasium, Department agents & laboratories & a Campus branch of Syndicate Bank The Golden Jubilee Complex, operational since 2000 which is located in the lush green campus. It houses the Golden Jubilee Building (in which a classes come held), a Canteen & a Playground vicinity.

Courses
Offers Undergraduate Courses inside areas of Civil Engineering Computer Science Electronics & Communications. Electrical Engineering Reference Science Mechanical Engineering Industrial Production Graduate courses in Computer Applications (MCA) Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Doctoral Courses around various fields come too offered.

Connected by owning VTU, sooner affiliation was sustaining a University of Mysore. Centers
Center for Appropriate Rural Technologies (CART) is associated by owning NIE.
